Amaze is Ajmal's masculine woody, and the one with the most character of the seven.

— The opening is fresh and fruity: bergamot, lime and apple, with a marigold that brings a slightly bitter green note. That green bitterness is deliberate, it stops the apple from turning sweet.

— The heart closes in on jasmine and iris. The iris is what gives it its powdery, elegant, slightly retro side.

— The base is frankly masculine: patchouli, leather, oakmoss and musk. Leather and oakmoss are two noble materials of classical perfumery, and they are what give Amaze its dry, assertive character.

To be honest: that base divides people. If you like very sweet fragrances, this is not the one. And staying power varies — Ajmal states three to eight hours depending on the skin, which is a wide range. It lasts noticeably better on clothes. — The opening is sober: bergamot and cardamom. The citrus gives the energy, the spice keeps it from being ordinary. It does not last long, five minutes.

— The heart is the interesting part: incense, with violet and orange blossom. The incense gives that solemn, almost contemplative side that oriental fragrances do better than anyone, and the two flowers make it powdery rather than severe.
