Qahir is the one with the most character in the range: an oriental built around tobacco and coffee.
— The opening is immediate and dense: tobacco leaf and saffron. Tobacco in perfumery is the dried leaf — soft, honeyed, almost sweet — nothing to do with a cigarette. The saffron gives it its leathery facet.
— The heart is gourmand without being sweet: spices, tonka bean, coffee and a little jasmine. Coffee is a difficult note to get right, and here it is bitter just enough to balance the tonka.
— The base is warm and chocolatey: amber, cedar and cocoa. The cocoa carries the bitterness of the coffee further and gives the fragrance its closing signature.

— The opening is spiced and dry: cardamom and pepper. It is short, and deliberately so — the fragrance wants to reach its heart quickly.
— The heart is the most seductive of the whole Al Wataniah selection: jasmine, raspberry, rose and praline. Raspberry with rose is the accord that makes modern gourmands, and the praline thickens it without making it heavy.
— The base brings it back to the East: musk, oud, amber and moss. The oud arrives in the base here, not in the opening — it supports the fruit instead of crushing it, and that is what makes this fragrance wearable for someone who does not usually like oud.

Rose Mystery Intense is the simplest fragrance of the range, and that is its strength: three noble materials, nothing else.
— The opening is bright: pink pepper, bergamot and hedione. Hedione is a perfumery molecule that smells of fresh jasmine and of air — you do not notice it, it makes everything else clearer and wider. It is one of the most used ingredients in modern perfumery.
— The heart is built entirely on rose, and not just any: Bulgarian rose and Turkish rose together, with Egyptian jasmine. These are the three most prestigious flowers in perfumery. The Bulgarian is honeyed and deep, the Turkish fresher and more lemony — the two together give a complete rose.
