Red fruits and vanilla, with a moss in the base that saves the whole thing from marshmallow.
— The opening is a basket of red fruits — strawberry, blackcurrant — over a freesia that brings the fresh flower.
— The heart carries on with raspberry and magnolia, laid over cashmere wood.
— The base does something unexpected: vanilla and caramel, yes, but also moss. Perfumery moss smells of damp earth, bark, woodland after rain. Set beneath a fruity gourmand, it gives it a green, fresh foundation that keeps it from turning into candy.
That contrast is what makes the bottle interesting. Without the moss, this would be one more vanilla-strawberry.
Who it is for: someone who likes sweet fruity fragrances and has already found the others too flat.
Spring, autumn, daytime. Average to long wear, moderate projection.

Mind the format before anything else: this bottle is not a spray. It is a concentrated perfume oil, applied with a finger or with the applicator, on the wrists and behind the ears.
It is a Gulf tradition, and it is not a cut-price product — quite the opposite. An oil contains no alcohol: it does not evaporate, it makes no cloud, it stays on the skin and it holds there a whole day.
The scent is a classic, comfortable rose-musk.
— Bergamot and peony open it fresh.
— Rose and musk occupy the heart with cashmere wood.
— The base brings vanilla, cedar and amber.
Who it is for: someone who wants a discreet, tenacious fragrance, or someone who is specifically looking for the oil rather than the spray. 27 ml of oil lasts a very long time.
One honest note: three resellers publish three different pyramids for this bottle.

The freshest fragrance of the whole house, and the only frank citrus of the lot. Yuzu is the star.
— Yuzu is a Japanese citrus: more bitter than a lemon, more floral than a grapefruit, with a highly scented peel. It is an expensive, recognisable material, and putting it in the first note is a real choice. With grapefruit and mandarin, the opening is dazzling.
— The heart brings galbanum — a resin that smells of cut stem and green pepper, the greenest material in perfumery — with tropical fruits the house does not name.
— The base is airy: musk, plus ozonic notes and aldehydes. Aldehydes are that soapy, slightly metallic sparkle of the great fragrances of the 1920s; ozonic is the smell of the air after rain.
Worth knowing: the name evokes dusk, the fragrance smells of high noon. A contrast to be owned.
Spring, summer, daytime. Average longevity, moderate projection.
