Musamam is the darkest and most strong-willed fragrance in the Lattafa catalogue, and it resembles no other.
— The opening pairs saffron, Italian mandarin and lavender: spiced, a little citrussy, already dry.
— The heart reveals amberwood, Virginia cedar and geranium, which set the woody structure in place.
— The base does all the work: akigalawood, incense and labdanum build a smoky, leathery, resinous foundation.
Enthusiasts compare it to fragrances from far more expensive houses for its leather-and-incense side. The first few minutes are frank, but the base more than makes up for it. Very long wear, strong projection. Evenings, autumn and winter. For someone who already knows what they like.

There are fragrances you smell, and others you recognise from three metres away. Khamrah is one of the second kind, and that is what made it the Lattafa house's biggest success.
— The opening plays on contrast: the cinnamon and the nutmeg bring the spice, the bergamot keeps the whole thing from being too dry.
— The heart reveals the candied date, this fragrance's signature, wrapped in praline and tuberose. It is that note you will find almost nowhere else.
— The base sets in vanilla, tonka bean, benzoin and myrrh: a warm, resinous foundation that stays clinging to clothes well after the day is over.
Khamrah is not worn by halves. Two sprays are plenty. Keep it for the evening and the cool seasons — in high summer in a closed office, it will be too present.

Qahwa means coffee in Arabic. That is exactly what Lattafa added to the original Khamrah recipe, and it changes everything.
— The opening is more spiced than its elder's: cinnamon, cardamom and ginger arrive together, with that small bite that wakes you up.
— The heart stays on praline and candied fruits, wrapped in white flowers.
— The base does the work: the vanilla and the tonka bean settle in, the benzoin brings the resin, and the coffee cuts through the sugar to stop it cloying.
It is often described as winter in a bottle. Warm-hearted, comforting, with a wear that easily passes ten hours. If you find the classic Khamrah too sweet, this is its more grown-up version.
