Concordia is a dry, elegant fruity floral — the opposite of the sweet gourmands.

— The opening is tart: orange, pink pepper, pomegranate and bergamot. Pomegranate is a rare note, acidic and lightly astringent, far sharper than the usual red fruits.

— The heart is the richest part: green fig, plum, transparent jasmine, iris, magnolia and cinnamon. Iris is the most expensive material in perfumery — its scent is extracted from the rhizome, after three years of drying. It brings that powdery, cool, earthy side that signs the great fragrances. “Transparent jasmine” is a lightened jasmine, without its animal side.

— The base is sober: patchouli, vanilla, white musk and vetiver.

A mid-season fragrance, for daytime, unisex with a feminine leaning.

It is much more discreet than the other Memoizes — a skin fragrance, not a trail fragrance.

Eximus is Memoize's second rose-oud, more floral and brighter than Superbia.

— The opening is delicate: pear blossom and saffron. Pear blossom is a springtime note, white and lightly watery — far finer than the pear fruit.

— The heart is spiced and round: Turkish rose, clove, magnolia and sandalwood. Turkish rose is jammier than Bulgarian rose; the clove bites into it and keeps it from being sickly.

— The base is oriental: patchouli, oud, vanilla and musks.

An autumn and winter fragrance, for the evening, unisex with a feminine leaning.

Worth knowing: it is very close to Superbia from the same house — both are rose-ouds. The difference is the leather: Superbia has it, this one does not, and it is therefore more floral and smoother.

— The opening is green and milky: fig, coconut and bergamot. Fig in perfumery is as much the leaf as the fruit: green, milky, a little bitter. With the coconut, the effect is creamy without being sweet.

— The heart is salty: sea breeze, cardamom and cistus. Cistus is labdanum in its raw state — a Mediterranean resin that smells of vegetal leather and of sun-heated scrubland. It is what gives the fragrance its mineral roughness.

— The base is dry: saffron, sandalwood, musk and moss.

A spring and summer fragrance, for daytime, genuinely unisex.

Fig, coconut and salt is the smell of skin after a day at the beach — and the cistus and the moss keep it from turning into sun cream.
