Beril is the most masculine of the Unique'es, even though it remains unisex.
— The opening is green and sharp: pink pepper, coriander and bergamot. Coriander seed gives that lemony, lightly soapy freshness so characteristic of classic masculine fragrances.
— The heart is spiced and warm: nutmeg, cinnamon, rose and jasmine. The two spices dominate and the two flowers soften them without erasing them — the balance is well held.
— The base is dry and earthy: patchouli, vetiver, amber and musk. No vanilla, no sugar: that is what sets it apart from the rest of the house.
An autumn and winter fragrance, for the evening, unisex with a masculine leaning.
In a collection that is largely gourmand and fruity, Beril is the spiced-woody exception.
