Kutay is an oriental on an aged-wood accord, and it is the top of that register in the selection.
— The opening shows its colours: bergamot, lemon and whisky. The whisky accord in perfumery reproduces oak and smoky peat.
— The heart is dense and resinous: davana, nagarmotha, caramel and tobacco. Davana is an Indian plant whose scent changes with the skin of the person wearing it — it smells of candied apricot and brown caramel. Nagarmotha (or cypriol) is an Indian root, woody and smoky, much used to reinforce oud.
— The base is classic oriental: agarwood, sandalwood, amber and vanilla.
A winter fragrance, for the evening, unisex with a masculine leaning.
It is the same territory as the Assala Royal XO and the Maison Alhambra Kismet for Men in the selection, in a niche version and far more concentrated.
