— The opening is springlike: bergamot, lily of the valley and lilac. Lilac is a rare material in modern perfumery — like lily of the valley, it cannot be extracted naturally and has to be reconstructed entirely. Few houses take the trouble today. Green, powdery, lightly honeyed, it gives this fragrance a bearing that recalls the great compositions of the 1980s.
— The heart is a flight of spices: clove, cinnamon, cardamom, geranium and rose. Three warm spices against two flowers: the balance leans clearly towards the sharp.
— The base is sober: cedar, patchouli, musk and vanilla.
